Salisbury Steak

I’m a huge fan of cooking once and eating multiple times. This is one of those recipes that is so easy to throw together for dinner one night and still have enough to make extras to freeze and eat later.

On this particular day, I was on a freezer meal making mission and we froze all the meals rather than cooking one that day. I doubled the recipe below and it made 3 future meals for us. Two with 6 “steaks” each and one with 4.

Let’s Get Crafty!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef (88% lean)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 onion soup packet
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs
  • 1 can beef broth, low sodium
  • 1 cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Preheat oven to 350, if you are baking right away.

Gently combine the ingredients through the panko crumbs and add a little beef broth for moisture (around 1/2 cup.

Shape the beef into patties and separate into baking dishes to use for freezing.

Stir together the rest of the beef broth, mushroom soup and dry mustard.

Evenly distribute over the salisbury steaks.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes until fully cooked. It will take a little longer if they aren’t fully thawed from the freezer.

Thanks for stopping by my crafty corner. Hope you have a wonderful day.
