This felt like a busy (but good) week of jumping from one thing to the next. As I think about it – March is always a super busy time. There seem to be big pushes for the kids at school and they are feeling super ready for spring break.
Springtime was starting to feel like it was in the air this week and winter is having a hard time letting go. We woke up to some snow this morning. That means soup day for us!
Monday – Spaghetti

We tossed one of the spaghetti freezer meals into the crockpot for this dinner and the kids were delighted. Making it with sausage adds a tasty layer of flavor that everyone enjoys.
Tuesday – Grilled Steak

Yay for grilling! I’m so excited that grilling season is quickly approaching. The kitchen always gets less dirty and cleanup is easy when most of the meal is made outside.
Wednesday – Green Chile Burritos with Taco Meat

We used some precooked frozen taco meat and thawed out some green chile. I added refried beans to my burrito. We haven’t made green chile much this winter but I’m anticipating we will have more soon because we bought lots of diced pork on sale and having extra green chile on hand is always a good thing for us.
The kids made regular tacos rather than burritos. I bought some Easter candy and put some jelly beans in a little bunny dish, so they were the most interested in determining what exactly they needed to eat in order to be able to have some jelly beans.
Thursday – Pizza
Tonight was a busy one with activities and the kids were excited to have pizza between the running around. I’m not sure how they don’t get sick of pizza… but they don’t.
Friday – Sweet and Spicy Shrimp

This is a twist on the Bang Bang Shrimp recipe from Bonefish Grill. Click here for the recipe. My husband has been wanting some shrimp and pasta so tonight was a choose your own shrimp adventure. My daughter’s plate is below and a picture of my husband’s is below that.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are having a wonderful day.
