Strawberry Ice Cream Cake

We made this for my husband’s birthday. It’s layered strawberry ice cream with strawberry syrup and crushed graham crackers. It would also be fun to try with a chocolate and oreo twist or a peanut butter twist. The combination possibilities are endless.

Let’s Get Crafty!

This is going to be more of a recipe by pictures so you can see how we layered it up. No special magic here but I did really like how putting down saran wrap first helped to make it easy to lift out of the dessert when it was done for slicing so we could see the pretty layers.

We used a bread loaf pan and the size worked great for us.

Getting started with putting saran wrap in the bread loaf pan. I left extra on each side so it would be easier to lift out.
Put ice cream of your choice at the bottom and spread around until even (about 1/2 full) and then sprinkle with half of the graham crackers crumbs. Ours were crumbled by a happy 3 year old that was excited to be a helper.
Add more ice to the top and spread around leaving just a little space at the top.
Drizzle the syrup of your choice all over (we did Hershey’s strawberry) and the remaining cracker crumbs.
We made this around lunchtime and put it in the freezer for the afternoon to eat after dinner. Less time would have probably worked great too.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day.
