What did we eat for dinner this week? 02.10.24

I’ve been wanting to make some sliders for a couple weeks and even bought Hawaiian rolls from Costco in advance to make sure that we made some. Worked like a charm.

Sunday – Cheeseburger Sliders

Stay tuned for the recipe on how I made these. It seems everyone must be feeling sliders these days because this ended up being a combination of recipes that I had read over the last month from Taste of Home’s magazine, Ree Drumond’s new cookbook (yay for new cookbooks for Christmas) and another place that isn’t coming to me right now.

Monday – Taco Chili

This was using the second of a freezer meal that I made a couple months back. We weren’t really fans of it… it was a little too sweet for me.

Tuesday – Pizza and Salad

We did Papa Murphy’s take and bake pizza for dinner. I love their Tuesday special! There’s something about getting a good deal in the middle of the week that makes my heart happy.

Thursday – Chicken and Dumplings

My husband was out of town and I was looking for a tasty comfort food recipe that I thought the kids would be excited about. And they were. 🙂

We do the peas on the side so the people that like peas can add them to their bowl. Here’s a link to the recipe, if you want to give it a try. Instant Pot Chicken and Dumplings

Friday – Super Easy and Happy Kiddos

This was a busy week, so on this evening… I didn’t have dinner planned in advance and said yes to each of the things the girls said they wanted.

Mozz sticks? Yep.
Applesauce? Yep.
Chicken noodle soup from a can? Yep again!

It was also movie night so we had some popcorn a little bit later.

Saturday – Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders

These bacon wrapped chicken tenders were really good! Stay tuned for this recipe where brown sugar turns out to be the star. They would have been really good with some green chile wrapped in there… but I was in a hurry and didn’t make it happen this time.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day.
