Oh my goodness! This picture is a blast from the past. I put this little chart together for Connor 10 years ago around this time of year when he was jumping into the new school year to help him remember when I would be picking him up from school and when he was going to the after school program. He didn’t really use it like I thought he might. I thought the apples were cute to indicate the after school program days and he said it was confusing. 🙂

Fast forward 10 years and we have three kids that headed back to school this week. It got me realizing that this might be the first year that I haven’t wanted to work on freezer meals for as far back as I can remember.
Freezer meals are amazing when families hit the door right around dinnertime and their kiddos are ready to eat very fast after getting home. That was us for many years! As our youngest kiddo has gotten a little older and we have continued to have veggies out and ready for snacking while I’m cooking, it has helped a lot with big feelings during the process of getting dinner on the table.
Now that I’m making less freezer meals there does need to be more of an intentional effort over the weekend to decide what we are going to have for dinner the next week. I went to my blog to do some looking and saw a couple links that I wanted to share.
- If you are wanting freezer meal ideas, click here for the blog posts that are tagged as freezer meals on my blog. Please keep in mind while these were freezer meals that a lot of them can be made the same day and wouldn’t have to be freezer meals. I include them with a freezer meal tag because they hold up well to the freezer.

Happy Back to School! Yay for Fall Time. ❤
