My husband smoked a brisket for our Christmas dinner and made twice baked potatoes to go with it. I wanted to do a side that was a little different than we normally do, so here’s a twist on brussel sprouts that my Mom and I really liked.

Ingredients:
2 lbs brussel sprouts
4 tablespoons EVOO
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
1/2 cup shredded or grated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 425.
Cut off the stems of the brussel sprouts and cut each one in half. Then toss with EVOO and seasonings until well combined (everything but the parmesan).
Pour the brussel sprouts onto a large foil-lined baking sheet and arrange the sprouts to be cut side down.

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Roast for 25 minutes until the edges are crispy and the cut side starts to get nice and toasty.
