Yay for pie irons that are for more than pie! My Mom made pulled pork for dinner and we gave using the pie irons a go. This is less of a recipe and more of a fun camping idea.

The oldest got the fire going while we pulled together the ingredients for the sandwiches.
I LOVE dinner ideas that are flexible and this could be great so many different ways! (Like… ham and cheese sandwiches, taco meat, brisket, grilled cheese, roast beef….)
On this particular day we used butter, burger buns, prepared pulled pork, cheese slices and then diced jalapenos for those that would like to have them.

Before layering in your ingredients you’ll want to warm up your pie irons and then add butter to both sides to help it not stick.
Once you fill it up and close it up, you’ll let it cook for a few minutes on each side until it reaches to toasty/crunchiness factor you are looking for.
