My sister-in-law shared this recipe with me and I just had to give it a try. It is super easy and was a big hit in our house. This makes me want to try a manicotti using ricotta really soon.
A big time saver here is not needing to precook the manicotti shells. I loved that the box we bought them in included little trays so that we didn’t get surprised with some of them being broken or cracked. All of ours were in good shape.

Let’s Get Crafty!
Ingredients:
1 box manicotti (count of 14)
1 jar spaghetti sauce (24 oz)
14 individual string cheeses
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups hot water
1 lb hamburger (optional)
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
Preheat oven to 350
While the oven is preheating – brown the hamburger and set aside
Put one string cheese into each of the manicotti shells, cover evenly with the spaghetti sauce, top with the cooked hamburger and pour water gently over the top. Sprinkle with italian seasoning and cover with foil.

Bake covered for 30 minutes
Uncover and add shredded cheese
Bake uncovered for another 20 minutes (we continued at 350 degrees)
Ours was bubbly and looked melty and delicious at this point. We let it sit about 10 minutes before eating. I missed getting a picture of my plate!
It was really good! Hope you give it a try. Thanks for stopping by.
