Dump cakes are so easy and delicious. Here’s one with less sugar, calories and fat with swapping out the butter for sprite zero.

Ingredients:
1 box butter cake mix
20 oz cherry pie filling
20 oz crushed pineapple
1/2 can sprite zero
Preheat oven to 350

Pour the crushed pineapple (undrained) and cherry pie filling in a 9×13 baking dish and stir to combine.

Evenly distribute the cake mix over the pineapple and cherry filling.

Pour 1/2 can of sprite zero evenly over the cake mix. (Most recipes use the full can but I was anticipating the liquid in the pineapple and cherry pie filling would help with moisture.) 1/2 can worked well for us.
Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes.
Uncover and bake another 25 minute.
